Science Roadshow

Last week our Science Department had the pleasure of watching two Roadshows from the Lancaster University and the University of Central Lancashire.

As part of the roadshow they demonstrated how space time travel really works and how physics is helping with modern transport ideas. They also analysed how we use social media and digital devices with cyber forensics and encryption codes. One interesting fact was what happened when we take a photo on our phones and post this online and how we can view the exact location the photo was taken through co-ordinates.

On top of this the Science Department have been working hard with the pupils to celebrate 150 years of the Periodic Table, with pupils researching their chosen element and what this means in Science.
